axis project
The design concept is perfectly explained on the Axis website as “challenging conventional ideas associated with an urban apartment lifestyle.”
In line with this vision, we installed a welcoming reception area on the ground floor, featuring warm Walnut veneer joinery, back panels with strategically placed LED lighting, and integrated postboxes. The contemporary reception desk, crafted with a blend of Walnut and Teramo Quartz, offers a stylish contrast that enhances the space’s inviting feel.
The kitchens in each Axis apartment were designed with two elegant options. The first pairs Duco Satin finishes with oak veneer cabinetry, treated with Ciranova oil to achieve a balanced color palette that feels both warm and modern. The second option combines matte Duco Satin bottom cabinets with high-gloss Niemann upper cupboards for a sleek look. All bottom cabinet and drawers in MDF feature a reverse finger grip, achieving a clean, handle-free aesthetic that complements the minimalist design. Joos Joiners offered different Teramo Quartz countertop color options for the apartments, while penthouse units were upgraded with Caesarstone Raw Concrete tops for a modern, industrial touch.
With hardware supplied by Grass, each kitchen benefits from smooth, soft-close doors and drawers, providing effortless functionality.
Our state-of-the-art production facility allows for large scale production to accommodate the volume of joinery required. With 170 built-in cupboard, 64 linen/hallway built-in cupboards, 161 vanity units and 83 individual kitchens were manufactured and installed over a 12-month period.
Axis Cape Town forms a proud part of Joos Joiners’ commercial portfolio.
